A WEEKEND OF CAMPING AT PENDLETON

Home is where you park it! This was our set-up for a Super Bowl Weekend on base at Camp Pendleton, right on the beach only a short walk to Orange County's favorite point break. 

Breakfast is a burrito and a hot coffee, followed up by a long surf. Gotta watch out for the birds though, they'll happily swoop up whatever they can 

In the van we had 5 boards, a nice big bed, cooler, lantern, speaker and the absolute necessities. And in between surfing, we  were always game for a round of bocce ball.

Hyped on new surfboards! Makala rode her fresh Hobie and Hal rode a brand new Troy Elmore. The weather was absolutely perfect and we even got a bit of a tan.
